I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I want to drop an H22A in my 97 del sol but I heard somewhere you would have to remove the AC. Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks

Great engine for drag ONLY, but not ideal for daily driving or autoxing. From what I have heard is that since it weighs more then the b16 and the b18 is that can cause under/over steering in the turns. I think the AC for both the H22 and the c-5 has to be removed, but I could be mistaken. You would also need to buy the H22 motor mount kit, suspension upgrades, and some other things.

Ok so Ive made up my mind about not getting the H22, but I was thinkin about maybe taking a B20 block and putting a B18 head on it but I am not sure how much that would cost and what i would have to do to make that work. What about the ECU would I just use one from a B18. I have about $2500 to work with, and im not worried about labor costs. (I have a friend who is a mechanic that will help me with the install) Thanks.
