Currently I have a 3000gt sl 5 speed. Ime going to be selling it because there are no good upgrages for the n/a like I have, and the mods that there are are WAY to much cash. I was wondering w/out turbo how much hp can you put into a civic ex vtec 96+ and are they sohc or dohc, I know the SI's are dohc, and does it play a key part when modding the ex's if they are dohc and sohc. btw. my 3000gt does 1-40 in first gear 2 gear 40-90- 3 gear 90-120 4 and 5 nothing happens like the gears change but not more speed. I was wondering with a stage 3 clutch would a civic be able to do that, my 3000gt is all stock.

N/A is kinda expensive I think. You can squeeze a good amount of hp out of the civic n/a. The normal ex are SOHC. The SI are DOHC. Stock civic tops out arond 125-130 so it doesn't go like super fast.

LOL, when i had my SOHC v-tec motor, it took me a good 20-40 seconds to go from 100mph to 123mph. when you do get one...get a replacement motor...you'll really notice the difference. oh yeah, i also got a best et of 15.81 at the tracks if that helps. full interior with street tires...but this is in a hatch...damn, hahaha...i forgot my hatch weighs almost as much as a coupe weighs...oh well.

rofl, my 3000gt sl 5 spd cost me at the time 3k from FORD dealer, Ime lookin to sell it because I cant hook it up without spending 8k, hmmm I gonna look into 2gen RX-7's, eheh they only about 2-4k and they got turbo chargers.

btw. I think I can reach 100 within 10 seconds or less

speed of the car in whatever gear is all based on tranny.

it depends on gearing of your tranny.
