98 Silverado; Couple issues

I recently bought a 98 Silverado and I have a couple issues that I was wondering if anyone could help me out with.

First off, when I come to a complete stop my brakes feel like the anti lock kick in and the truck takes a lurch forward. This happens every single time I stop.

Also when I switch it into 4 lo the truck makes a loud clunk noise. It did not make this noise when I first bought it but just recently started doing it. Yes I do have it in neutral and I already changed U-joints on drive shaft.

Has anyone had any of the same issues, if so does anyone know what the cause was?

Thanks
Rick

The abs should be scanned for codes and a possible ft sensor dropping out too soon, lots of ft whel sensor issues with that truck.. Clunk is just a matter of tracking down the source of the noise.

Chevy has a recall on the ABS system for these trucks.. you may want to take it in to see if it helps.. I have not done it yet.. I always have the fear of them breaking something else so they can charge you for something.

Sounds like the transfer case.. I would get it check out quick.
Can you tell where the sound is comming from? Front or below you?
