Tuned Toyota Supra in 1/24modellmaker 11-04-2006, 04:17 PM Hi all! In summer of 2005 I started a new project. A Tamiya Toyota Supra. I thought about some things before I started it and saved a lot of pics from the net. I like come to some decision before I start something. For example what colour want I paint? What things want I modify in the interior? What rims put I under it? etc. So You can see below what I want. I will paint it Lamborghini Arancio Atlas Pearl paints. It's a cool orange. :) This rims go under my Supra: Aoshima Bersaglio Spoke II 19" ( I love it! :smokin: ) http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/images/bersaglio-spoke2.gif Here is where I have been swhered: I modified on the chassis the front and the rear bumper, the side skirts and the bonnet. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/P3120005a.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/P3120014.jpg Sorry for the rare updates but I have not so much time modeling. mm PS: It's going to be like this: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/JZA80_4_Gallery.jpg Now You can imagine what I want. suicidehummer 11-05-2006, 12:33 AM This should be a beautiful car when it's done! NissanSkylineGTR98 11-05-2006, 11:16 AM Love the reference pic you've got there. Should look amazing when its finished. Alfa 147 11-05-2006, 11:38 AM Great putty work so far ;) modellmaker 11-05-2006, 12:00 PM Should look amazing when its finished. Yeah I hope I can finish it before I die. AMNES 11-05-2006, 03:26 PM What's that grey putty. It looks like some good stuff/ modellmaker 11-05-2006, 04:03 PM Humbrol - Model Filler (Y) Yes, it's a good stuff. The only "problem" with this putty that You have to wait to dry about 12 hours after You greased it. But in this time You can work on other parts. :naughty: rod_k2 11-06-2006, 04:09 AM Man,Please keep us updated! I really wanna see this one finished!!! modellmaker 12-29-2006, 05:58 AM Hi guys! First sry that I haven't update the topic since the first post here. I have not so much time to modeling. :shakehead In my reference pics I see in the inner side of the hood some stays (or props, I don't know what is it's correct name). But on the model was all flat. :banghead: In my plans are an opened engine bay and the hood in flat would be not as good as I want. :iceslolan Here is my ref. pic: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/picture9.jpg And here which I made. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/PC290001.jpg I hope You like it. In the afternoon I'll update it again. :sunglasse H311m4n 12-29-2006, 06:03 AM That is some sweet work on the hood mate ^^ rod_k2 12-29-2006, 07:17 AM Hope to see updates! Its going to look great! modellmaker 12-29-2006, 12:05 PM So as I promised. A liitle update again. The shock absorbers. The stock: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/P4250003.jpg And which I made: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h82/modellmaker/Toyota_Supra_MkIV/P4250002.jpg I cut the top of the stock shock absorbers and remade the all thing from wires. The piece from brass is 1.5mm in diameter and the thinner is 0.8mm. The spring is made from 0.4mm wire, too. I think in the end there will be all in covering :frown: but I know there are in their place. theOmni 12-29-2006, 03:59 PM Im a big fan of Supras! Keep up the awesome work!! Risko 12-29-2006, 04:25 PM Nice work, looking forward for more!:grinyes: D_LaMz 01-01-2007, 02:40 PM looking good! Guiddy 01-01-2007, 02:50 PM Like everything so far, good colour and great detail! Will you be adding a wing? Not a fan of Supras without rear spoilers, my only concern with the project. But it's a personal thing! Will you go for dark inner rims? That would look awesome! modellmaker 01-01-2007, 04:46 PM Thanks guys! :) modellmaker 01-01-2007, 05:14 PM Will you be adding a wing? No. :) I had a dream. It played in the future. I saw this car with huge wing. It was horrible. :icon16: I haven't find any wing that would be seemd better in this supra. The C-West wing (which you can see on the red supra) is good, but... I don't know, yet. Will you go for dark inner rims? That would look awesome! It's a good idea! I've given it a second thought. Maybe I'll paint it with semi-gloss black. And in the middle of the rims is the logo of the manufacturer. This will be white with a gold "ß", as You can see on the box in the first post of this thread. geronimo77 01-04-2007, 04:32 PM That is going to be a nice supra. Any progress? kbx 01-04-2007, 04:59 PM Lookin' good!! Nice details, but shall we see some color on the body;) It's also a long progress like my Panspeed RX7, but the good job needs time:D Keep it up! Adam ugt_25 01-04-2007, 07:35 PM Continue i like the way this project is going modellmaker 01-05-2007, 03:04 PM Thx guys! kbx: You've right! :D progress... maybe at the weekend. =/ vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
