When draining and putting in new transfer case fluid on my 2000 Tahoe 5.7 4X4 is there anything I need to know before doing the job? Do I need to buy any new seals, plugs, etc...? I already got the fluid from the dealer today, just want to know if I need to do anything special to complete the job successfully. Thanks for all the help, Skip

Your gonna need a new gasket as well.

A gasket? On my transfer case there are two plugs...one to fill and one to drain...where would the gasket go?

Well, finished changing out the transfer case fluid this weekend...It was a messy nasty job...its pretty much impossible to add fluid to the transfer case without help from another person...get my wife to pump the fluid in...I'm going to have to buy a ton of kitty litter to soak up the puddle underneath my truck....lol...anyway glad I got that out of the way...all my fluid are now changed...thanks for the help.
