4AFE peak powerskaterblader23 11-02-2006, 07:02 PM Does anyone know the max hp/torque numbers for a stock 4AFE? (1990 Celica ST 1.6L 4AFE) I don't plan on building one up, but it would be nice to get a relative figure for comparison reasons. (max power on stock setup) I have found a guy around where i live who is willing to do a valve job for me. Along with that, he also has connections for forged internals. (NOT free of course) I'm just curious. 91 Celica St 11-08-2006, 03:03 PM i made 170 WHP on 8 psi on a t-25, expecting 200+whp on my new turbo setup(.48 trim T3) the highest hp 4afe ive ever seen is a guy named dasorcha on celicatech.com hes making around 600WHP on a 4afe. skaterblader23 11-08-2006, 09:02 PM Ok, i got other responses saying with turbo, and little actual engine work, you can get 170hp fairly safely. Do you plan on getting anything rebuild/replaced internally? rods/pistons/seals? smbius 11-20-2006, 04:13 PM You really can't do too much with the 4AFE. See my site (sig below) for more details. 91 Celica St 11-20-2006, 10:45 PM You really can't do too much with the 4AFE. See my site (sig below) for more details. then you dont know what your talking about, head over to C-tech and see. i just checked your site and its full of mis information...not to be a dick but it is 200WHp is easily attanable in a 4afe. im expecting that much in my new setup there have been a few 300WHP and even one(or more) 500+ WHP 4afes with no boost the 4afe cant make much, your best bet is to use a 4agze bottem end on your 4afe with your 4afe head. itll still be a "4afe" technically. i didnt replace anything. 175,000 miles and stock Headgasket. im safe tho, rich tune and big IC vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
