Or maybe the pice of shit is bout to break:dunno: JustSayGo 11-02-2006, 01:09 AM I believe there is spyware on AF. Look at the advertisement that appears any time a particular part is mentioned in a post. If you want a part listed on ebay, just write about it in a post. I can log on to the main AF page at work but if I try to go to any forum, I get a warning flag saying that viewing this site has been determined by my company not to be suitable for work! Please contact the administrator if the page pertains to business. This on my third day at a new job! Virus.VBS.Saraci is not simple spyware. It does sound pretty bad if you aren't protected. The first activation date has already passed. viper-blue 11-09-2006, 04:55 AM I get the occaisional pop up to on this site and my firewall does a good job...but spyware is out there. There is even one dick on this site, I won't mention his name - who has something built in to his signature which taunts me, and likely others with my web address and ISP...that shit is uncalled for LadyNRedSi 11-13-2006, 06:23 PM FYI: this is the kind of stuff you should pm to TwoSpirits he's the current active admin. kris 11-15-2006, 11:09 PM VBS/Sarachi is a script virus written in Visual Basic Script. It uses Microsoft VM ActiveX Control (MS00-075) vulnerability to execute itself. When an infected HTML file is opened, the virus uses the Microsoft VM ActiveX Control (MS00-075) to execute itself. It locates the Windows Active Desktop template directory and replaces the file "FOLDER.HTT" with an infected copy. The virus will also make a copy of itself to the root of drive it was executed from as "FOLDER.HTT" and changes the system configuration from registry in a way that this file is executed every time when user browses a directory when the Windows' Active Desktop feature is enabled. This virus contains a payload that activates on September 26th. On this date, the virus shuts down Windows when user closes a directory in an infected system provided that the Active Directory feature is enabled. Further information about the Microsoft VM ActiveX Control (MS00-75) vulnerability is available at: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS00-075.mspx LadyNRedSi 11-19-2006, 01:23 PM I sent it to TS and got this reply: "Thanks for the heads up. I checked but did not get any message of a virus. I updated my system just in case and went back and still nothing, so I guess they have to update their pc software. I'll still send a note to iggy to be on the safe side though." 90civicrider 11-20-2006, 10:48 AM This was awhile ago now. I'm pretty sure it was one of the advertisments that was placed on the site. All the main anti-virus companies diddent even pick it up. I'm using Kasperski Internet Security and it was flashing warnings like crazy. Seem's to be fine now. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
