96 chev 3/4 4wd p/u slave cyl.,change?

i have a 96 chevrolet 3/4 4wd p/u single cab 5 speed. what are the steps to changing the slave cylinder between the tranny and the engine? do i have to lift the frame up and will the tension bars give me trouble. tension bars, the springs torsion bars, just came to me. how far back do i have to move the tranfercase back and can i keep the trans and transfercase together to do this? any help greatly appreciated.:)
