Wind noise from rear windows534BC 10-31-2006, 09:22 PM What is the horrid wind/pressure/noise/vibration when opening the rear windows? Is there an easy fix? (4-door) BlazerLT 10-31-2006, 09:28 PM What is the horrid wind/pressure/noise/vibration when opening the rear windows? Is there an easy fix? (4-door) Can you record a sound sample so we can hear this noise? MishaA 10-31-2006, 09:53 PM Easy fix would be not opening your windows when you are driving fast:wink: 534BC 10-31-2006, 09:58 PM I could try to record. It's been there ever since I bought it and I do have a luggage rack and no shades above windows. It also has integral running boards. If you drive over 35 mph and open either rear window over half way it's a horrible wuh wuh wuh wuhwuh sound, It actually hurts your ears. That's why I say it is a pressure thing. It's a terrible noise and every one in the vehicle will cover ears when it does it. I figured they all did it. alblogg 10-31-2006, 10:43 PM I know what you are talking about. If you crack the window about three to six inches it sounds like the pressure inside the vehicle is going up and down or inside your head at least. My wife has a '07 Pontiac G6 and it does the same thing you can't ride with the rear windows cracked if you do you get the whoop whoop whoop sound, drives you crazy. I have the vent shades over my rear windows on my Blazer but I never ride with the windows cracked I will have to give it a try to see if this makes a difference or not. 534BC 10-31-2006, 10:46 PM Thanks, maybe that is a quick cheap fix. I have an idea that some other cars do this as well, but this is the worst I've ever heard/felt. alblogg 10-31-2006, 10:52 PM Yep her Toyota did it too she had before but not as bad as the G6. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
