My "Slave" cd player has begun to skip terribly. So I'm looking for a new cd player. Any of you replaced your with an after market? Does it look okay in the dash?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Had aftermarket radios in both of my trucks. An Alpine in my first truck ('85 S10), then an Alpine and then a Kenwood in my old '99. I will never keep a factory radio in any Chevy I ever own. Just prefer them to stock. Plus I'm a semi-audiophile. I think they look better, maybe not as clean to some, but looks are subjective.

I've had an aftermarket cd-player in both of my vehicles and they look fine, even with using a dash kit to fill in the space left by the giant factory unit that the aftermarket doesn't fill. Plus they make aftermarket units that replace the unit entirely, without using a dash kit.
