EDIT: i noticed i do my 3-d cars different from other people.. i just do a basic outline of the car and cram in the details, next step is to smooth the baby up An Angry Clown 10-29-2006, 10:27 AM oh.. im looking for some more blueprints, where do you get yours? talonboy3 10-29-2006, 11:51 AM oh.. im looking for some more blueprints, where do you get yours? www.the-blueprints.com your one stop place for prints. :smokin: An Angry Clown 10-29-2006, 02:18 PM www.the-blueprints.com (http://www.the-blueprints.com) your one stop place for prints. :smokin: perfect! thanks! talonboy3 10-29-2006, 02:48 PM An Angry Clown 10-29-2006, 04:08 PM ohh thats looking so nice man, ive ran into tons of problems with the veyron talonboy3 11-01-2006, 02:55 PM porscheguy9999 11-01-2006, 11:01 PM Lookin good so far, per the usual. talonboy3 12-21-2006, 03:29 AM I am back at working on the R8, been busy with the ending of school. I don't like it either. I'll be modeling that soon I get some major parts down first then start stuffing it, so you can't see the rear tires from the front. Thanks dude! i'll fill it in soon. talonboy3 01-09-2007, 03:22 PM There now you can not see threw the grill! :) more to come. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/render9.jpg GreyGoose006 01-09-2007, 05:48 PM thats amazing. especially the audi logo. it seriously looks real. the reflections on the side are a little overpowering, but then again, its new paint ( hehe ) vinnym86 01-10-2007, 04:03 AM havn't visited in a while, what a beautiful thread to come back to. Them rims look REAL! talonboy3 01-18-2007, 02:28 AM Thanks! I was using a shiny shader I found on the net, now I used my car shader and got better results. I am still messing with the settings but thought I would post these renders :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test5.jpg An Angry Clown 01-18-2007, 07:10 AM dude you could make some mad money for that online.. nice job on the rendering and its real smooth talonboy3 01-18-2007, 01:19 PM dude you could make some mad money for that online.. nice job on the rendering and its real smooth Thanks man! Actually I was thinking about selling my models soon, in Max format and for other 3D apps, the Max file would work best if you have Max and Vray, purchasing these cars with Max file and Vray, you would get what you would see on the last screenshots. Other apps have good render systems as well so you could get some nice results. Max does come with mental ray which is a nice renderer if you do not have vray. I'll also sell render pictures like the ones I am posting, but when the car is finished. The pictures would be large, and could be used for posters, websites, wallpaper, etc. An Angry Clown 01-18-2007, 04:02 PM awesome.. I would buy it lol Im not saying that I can't model cars in 3DSM its just that everytime I run into a problem, I quit.. its a bad habbit talonboy3 01-19-2007, 03:06 PM More test renders, using different hdr image http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test8.jpg vinnym86 01-26-2007, 05:38 PM that is coming through beautifully, keep it up An Angry Clown 01-26-2007, 06:00 PM .. Ahem* I don't think you realized that I'm searious, I would buy that for money... or blood, I could kill for you :D talonboy3 01-27-2007, 03:02 PM Thanks for the comments. lol I'll just sell it Clown, its ok you don't need to kill for me. I'll be posting the car up for sale soon, if anyone wants to buy it. I still need to finish it. talonboy3 01-27-2007, 03:48 PM Added some background to the images! Now back to some modeling. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test10.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/talonboy3/test11.jpg talonboy3 01-27-2007, 11:57 PM Lances133 02-03-2007, 07:47 PM I'm late but, that is incredible. I should learn this stuff. talonboy3 02-07-2007, 05:53 PM Got some bad news, I lost my latest files to the R8. I got my hands on Vista and I decided to format and install it, and I forgot that I saved the files in a temp spot and cleared it. :( I guess RIP R8 Project. Stupid vista! An Angry Clown 02-07-2007, 08:55 PM Yah I know, I am kicking myself. I will create another project soon. I need to make a BMW M3 for school, that should be around soon. wow the fact that you just don't stop but accually start another one right after losing tons of hours of work is amazing! really! good luck on the next one, we'll know it'll be insane GreyGoose006 02-07-2007, 09:45 PM that sucks. just say you did it on purpose. there were no brake calipers, and you werent happy with it i look foreward to the M3. its my favorite car i-is-in-da-house 02-07-2007, 11:27 PM Damn, after all of that work... That must suck. when something of mine messes up, it takes me a while to go to another one. You sure got skillz and i cant wait to see the m3. RIP Audi R8 An Angry Clown 02-08-2007, 06:10 AM there were no brake calipers I never noticed that, I might want to buy the M3 if it turns out as nice as the R8 talonboy3 02-08-2007, 11:08 AM I never noticed that, I might want to buy the M3 if it turns out as nice as the R8 I usually leave some small stuff out until the end, like brake calipers, and door handles etc.. I guess it all depends on what I feel like modeling, but if I were to sell a car then the model would be complete, only thing I would maybe leave out would be the interior, maybe. The M3 will start soon. very soon. GreyGoose006 02-08-2007, 01:17 PM i dont know why, but as soon as i saw it completed, the first thing i noticed was that there were no calipers. would it be possible to turn down the shine factor on the wheels of future cars? it was just a little overpowering, and realistically, no wheels are gonna shine like that. i dont care what they are made out of. talonboy3 02-08-2007, 02:05 PM i dont know why, but as soon as i saw it completed, the first thing i noticed was that there were no calipers. would it be possible to turn down the shine factor on the wheels of future cars? it was just a little overpowering, and realistically, no wheels are gonna shine like that. i dont care what they are made out of. The car was far from completion it was about 70% done. I was still working on it when I lost the files I have some older files of the R8 but it was way back when major parts of the car were not done. I see what you mean when it comes to the rims. I can turn the reflect down a bit more like a brush metal but more chrome like.. Zammo 03-05-2007, 12:19 AM thats awesome i need to learn some 3d modeling tazdev 03-10-2007, 05:15 PM damn boy you got some talent. Shame about losing it,would love to have seen it 100%. you ever thought about doing your own concept and getting more into design work? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
