I dunno, I think the regular carbon fiber hood on the spec looks nice. Don't really like detailed ones, though.

plus the gas door, engine cover, and whatever else he didnt show us. yuck.
EDIT: oh man i just noticed the pep boys style CF wiper blades. and why does he have his ps2 in the trunk? is there a midget equipped with the car that switches games or movies? if so, you should invest in a microphone or something so you dont have to yell thru the seats.

Sorry, I don't play it and drive at the same time, thats a little bit difficult.

Oh, and I'm going to be adding some more carbon fiber here very very soon ;)

Also the wipers are PIAA.

Do you mean the vent? Sorry, you can see heat coming out of the engine bay which makes it a little functional. I know a N/A motor really doesn't get super hot, however it does help.

Ya, I wasn't bashing you or anything. I was just saying I like the plain rounded CF hoods better, cosmetically speaking. Pretty cool that it helps out with cooling your engine, though.

Just checking out your engine mods. I'm not trying to be offensive, but If I were you I would have put a little more bang under the hood before I went crazy on the flash. If my car is going to talk the talk, it better walk the walk.

Car is fully bolted, only thing left to do would be to turbo it and with the qr25 I'm kinda scared to do that with it being my daily driver. Plus the car was built to look good at shows, and its taken home several, but there is no way the engine wasn't going to be touched (honestlly some people forget that the engine is usually 10=20% of the total score) and is nice.

When I get my 510 put together for a Daily driver, I may consider boosting the V.

Ahhh I take it back then. I didn't know you were fully bolted. You know, you get some pretty kick ass gains from the VQ altima swap. It runs a 12.9 with nothing else done to it and it costs around the same as turbo. From what I understand a Turbo'd spec runs in the mid 13's. Not only that, but it's a hell of a lot more reliable to go with the VQ swap. There is also so much potential with that swap. You could build the engine and/or put a small supercharger on it. I plan to go with the VQ swap when I'm done with school. Also, how much did your suspension upgrade cost you? Do you like it?

I have the tein basics, it'd be nice to have the SS to have the extra adjustability, however I really don't need it. It doesn't ride too bad.

The only problem I have with the 3.5 swap is the mounts. The mounts made up from them use an adapter plate that pushes the weight off of the top of the mount and moves it up. It doesn't seem like the mount will hold the weight very well, time will tell for the people that have already done it, however I can see it starting to sag after a short while. He is selling solid steel mounts that would take care of that, however NVH is bad enough with the balance shaft removed and MMIs so unless its a track only car I'd hate to think of it.

I think I'm just going to get my Intake Manifold honed out, I've already put on a ported TB, and get it re-tuned and see if I can hit 200whp n/a.

This car wasn't built to be a track car and very fast, however it is fun to drive. I'll save the speed for the 510 when I get it since it'll weigh in at less then 2000 lbs.

porting your intake mani and swapping tb's causes a shitload of problems, the ecu has a hard time re-calibrating, as for the mounts on the vq swap, the guy putting the kit out has a turbocharged vq spec running around and its motor has stayed in just fine

I remember reading about it too. Last I heard he was still working on the wiring but had the turbo pieces already coming in. It's going to be sick and will probalby give Charles a run at the specV record.

My aunt got me a subscription of HCI last year for xmas and I don't really like it. Why can't there be more cars in it like Spec V's? Why are mid 14 second hondas so Admired over cars like a spec with a VQ swap and Turbo? Everything is a freaking civic, old school civic HB, or an Integra. Wtf is so great about these cars? And speaking of the Civic HB... ugliest fucking car I have ever seen, yet every ricer on the street loves them. :screwy: I want to see this guys swapped and turbod spec on the cover. :frown:
