Lamborghini 2-Tone Murcielago Pearl Gunmetal & Pearl BlackGamerxz 10-27-2006, 01:07 AM Ok started this months ago. Just a standard murcielago , Gonna add some spice and pearls to it :p Body as stated is Pearl Gunmetal Pearl Black. Interior will be Black/Brillant Orange. Something like that colour scheme you see avalible on the new Gallardo spyder. Not much progress pictures as i couldnt have access to a good camera when i started. Will post progress on the interior and engine as it comes :grinyes: Body after paint and pearl coat + gloss coat http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00565.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00566.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00567.jpg Light Housing done http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00689.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00690.jpg Now this is the nice part.. The main body is polished up.. almost done still have to polish more. F/R bumper still in unpolished only sanded down. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00715.jpg Darker pictures just to show the reflection http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00716.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v354/gamerxz/DSC00717.jpg Enjoy... godfather23 10-27-2006, 09:32 AM Cool paintjob, great shine you got there! Averion 10-27-2006, 10:46 AM heya could i enquire on how to get the pearl/2tone color? do u use a special coat or something? i'm pretty new to this, so any advice is great advice.. thanks! =) Gamerxz 10-27-2006, 12:02 PM heya could i enquire on how to get the pearl/2tone color? do u use a special coat or something? i'm pretty new to this, so any advice is great advice.. thanks! =) Two tone colour means two colours... i got the idea from Ferrari 599.. they offer two tone colours too. As u can see from my picture the main body is gunmetal.. and the rest mainly the top is black.. i just mixed the colours with pearl to that the that paint.. the purple whitish flakes in the paint is the pearl Godfather > Thanks man! Samurai75007 10-27-2006, 09:36 PM nice start, its kinda hard to see the purple in the first few photos. Btw what is pearl? is it a color? Thanks! Gamerxz 10-28-2006, 01:16 AM so is there any mixing ratio? Btw what is pearl? is it a color? Thanks! If u take a look at the 4th and 5th picture ull see this purple bright spots some white... those small spots are all over the body and are only visible at a certain angle... those are pearl flakes.. from pearl paint... and there is no mixing ratio... the body is just painted in two colours that is very close on the colour chart Averion 10-28-2006, 02:16 AM If u take a look at the 4th and 5th picture ull see this purple bright spots some white... those small spots are all over the body and are only visible at a certain angle... those are pearl flakes.. from pearl paint... and there is no mixing ratio... the body is just painted in two colours that is very close on the colour chart k great will try it out. so u mix the 2 colors w pearl together then u spray on? is pearl available w gunze? willimo 10-28-2006, 02:53 AM I think the confusion here is because Gamerxz' car is actually two colors; just as a classically prepared '57 Chevy might be red and white. The body is really dark silver, and the roof is black. With the pearl over it, it's hard to tell if you're not looking carefully. The pearl is (I'm assuming, as this is how it usually is) a clearcoat with pearlescent flakes in it. The pearl coat is sprayed over the main color, or colors in this case. What Gamerxz has done is paint the car two different colors (dark silver and black) and then coat the entire thing with pearl clearcoat. None of these are mixed, just one on top of the other. The pearl shows the other colors because it is mainly clear. I hope this helps. The car looks stunning, by the way. I love the colors, though they are hard to tell in pictures. I am sure in person, it's subtle but stunning. Keep it up! Gamerxz 10-28-2006, 02:55 AM k great will try it out. so u mix the 2 colors w pearl together then u spray on? is pearl available w gunze? The top is body is spray gunmetal then masked to spray black.. and gunze has no pearl paint.. tamiya pearl would be so - so... the best pearl is from japan it comes in a bag powder form to mix with paint Averion 10-28-2006, 03:34 AM The top is body is spray gunmetal then masked to spray black.. and gunze has no pearl paint.. tamiya pearl would be so - so... the best pearl is from japan it comes in a bag powder form to mix with paint alright man.. thanks! NissanSkylineGTR98 10-28-2006, 10:40 AM Very nice! That light housing looks superb! Gamerxz 10-30-2006, 05:33 AM Hmm was bored and took the wing from a JGTC Z kit and blu-tach it onto the murcielago lol... Anyway the rims are gonna be this colour but more polished to give it an alloy metal look. Interior is from my other murcielago taken just to get a feel of how it would look like when done.. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00724.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00725.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00726.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00729.jpg  Thanks for the comments! and willimo is right.... pearl mixed with clear Averion 10-30-2006, 09:40 AM I think the confusion here is because Gamerxz' car is actually two colors; just as a classically prepared '57 Chevy might be red and white. Keep it up! ooo... i see.. thanks man.. that really helped to clear up the picture.. btw i saw this pearl like color by gunze the other day in a nearby hobby shop. it says pearl. and u know w all gunze paints it will kinda indicate its purpose(e.g. aircraft, ships, WW2, cars, etc..) this one is labeled car primary. and i really was confused by it if Gamersxz's theory was the right one. initially i thought u could mix the pearl paint w some color... then gloss coat it.. and rub it till the cows come home.. or rather till it shines. =) agamo 10-30-2006, 10:36 AM Great finish!! Great color! Keep us posted! Regards Gamerxz 10-30-2006, 11:15 AM ooo... i see.. thanks man.. that really helped to clear up the picture.. btw i saw this pearl like color by gunze the other day in a nearby hobby shop. it says pearl. and u know w all gunze paints it will kinda indicate its purpose(e.g. aircraft, ships, WW2, cars, etc..) this one is labeled car primary. and i really was confused by it if Gamersxz's theory was the right one. initially i thought u could mix the pearl paint w some color... then gloss coat it.. and rub it till the cows come home.. or rather till it shines. =) If its pearl clear i guess it can be used.. But i never tried gunze pearl b4... i know tamiya one needs afew layers to get a nice pearl Jaimenew 10-30-2006, 02:29 PM great choice, I love lambo´s, I hope see soon completed this model. Gamerxz 10-31-2006, 10:29 AM Hmm... since i already have a standard murcielago.. i was thinking of making this one a tuner version . Something crazy rich people would do to their cars just for the fun of it... So i took the wing and did some measurements to make sure i got it in the right position. The rear area as in the picture was measured. It stands at 3.9cm. The wing stands sit on 1.4cm. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00730.jpgSo getting it in the middle would be 3.9cm - 1.4cm = 2.5 divided by 2 which is 1.25cm. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00733.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00734.jpg Upgraded brakes if i change the rims.. More drilled holes + brembo logo Left is the new brakes disc and right is the kit standard I will mod the disc and hubs to fit perfectly http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00735.jpg Close up of the brakes http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00736.jpg One of the two rims... Kranze Cerberus http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00737.jpg 2nd set .. Deep dish BBS style http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00738.jpg So vote away! which set would u like to see on this murcielago?! Merkava 10-31-2006, 10:32 AM I vote for the Cerberus-es... Cerberusses. Cerberi! Those! :) agamo 10-31-2006, 10:34 AM My vote for the Kranze Cerberus, I think they'll make look this Lambo more aggressive, may be with the center in a dark metallic gray, or anthracite. Keep us posted. 5ynergyx 10-31-2006, 10:43 AM Another vote for Kranze Cerberus. Gamerxz 11-01-2006, 06:56 AM Pictures of the modified suspension brake system.. Brembo calipers in red and with the kranze attached on http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00739.jpg As u can see the front wheel are too deep in... i have to modify it again to fit http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00740.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00741.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00742.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00743.jpg The murcielago was lowered about 0.2cm to give it a more agressive look. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00745.jpg http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n198/gamerxz2/DSC00746.jpg Measurements of the ride height. Enjoy! Rims still can be changed but the kranze do look very good on the car  Averion 11-01-2006, 10:39 AM Beautiful progress so far, keep it up! eph2 11-03-2006, 09:11 PM Wonderfull progress! Gamerxz 12-02-2006, 12:28 AM Ok! AFter a long long time.. i finished the body and got the correct rims for the murcielago. The rims were hard to find.. i had to look high and low until i saw it on ebay and grabbed it. Only the wing mirrors are left which will be done in black with gloss clearcoat. I replaced the front logo with a lamborghini word decal and added another two , one on each side of the car. Wheels are from Aoshima VIP series : Bersalio Spoke III Engine and interior is almost done.. hopefully i can finish it within the next few days... http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r266/gamerxz3/DSC01047.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r266/gamerxz3/DSC01048.jpg Hope u guys like it! ... anopanjo 12-02-2006, 01:35 AM wow! stunning build, what paint did u use its flawless!! fantastic rim choice in the end as i though the kranze didnt suit.
