burning/frying smell

after driving the car i would smell a frying smell in the front of the car.. so one day i left the car on and look under the hood and saw smoke coming up NEAR the intake manifold...i dont know really where its coming from? AND also everytime i step on the gas it seems like im not getting power i need to step harder to make it go faster...any HELP???

I think there is a small 5/16 collant hose to the throttle body in Accords. When collant leaks it usualy smells funny.

Could be that ^, and the coolant's dripping on your exhaust. But I'm going to guess that it's probably a clogged cat. The cat is pretty much underneith the IM area, so it could be smoking all the way up.

Actually the cat is direcetly underneath the exhaust manifold in an `96 LX.
You pretty much have to replace the cat if thats the problem.

how would i know for shure if the cat is clog? and how much is it to replace it? thanks

don't replace it. just punch it out. lol no usually you can find someone selling a stock one or just buy a cheapo ebay one and bolt it up. you should be fine.
