I just had this car inspected about 2 weeks ago. When i got it back I noticed that the AC/Heater will only go on at the highest setting, #3, 2, and 1 dont do anything. Its either full blast or nothing.

Anyway, today I noticed that the engine sounds louder than normal. There is no difference as far as performance or pick up. The car runs normal, the engine is just louder. Kind of sounds a little like these souped up Honda racing cars I see.

Any idea what this could be? Could the mechanic possibly have forgot to put something back correctly?

Open the hood and listen for the noise as you rev the engine a bit. Something in the air cleaner box isn't right maybe the lid is loose. The blower motor problem is caused by the blower motor resistor which is under the dash on the passenger side.
