JustSayGo 10-21-2006, 02:59 AM I transplanted an H22A and manual trans into a 91 Accord that had an auto trans. I spent a little time modifying motor mounts. Buy the motor mounts that fit H22A to the Accord body. The wiring harness modification and complete step by step engine swap are available on line at no charge. Auto transmission axles are longer than manual transmission axles and cause the suspension to bind. The H22A fit between the left and right frame better than the engine and auto that came out. I wouldn't say it was too much more difficult than replacing the engine same for same. Solder the wires and use shrink tube. Your friend is looking at a lot more work and body modification and suspension modification to handle the much heavier engine. adrenealinedin1987 10-21-2006, 02:59 PM ya i knew that the civic was going to be more work, would it be easier to buy a jumper for the ecu? im just trying to find the easiest fastest way without cutting the wiring harness any ideas JustSayGo 10-22-2006, 02:43 AM I am not familiar with an ECU jumper adapter harness. I think you may still need to learn how to solder and shrink (tube). Sounds like the jumper would be one giant easy step buy will double the number of potential bad connections at the ECU. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
