Transmission Slippage

Hi all I have a problem with my 1997 toyota carolla 1.8. the problem is when i take off on (D) drive and its ready to shift into a higher gear it slips after ingaging.I had replaced the torque converter...HELP!! please

Er oh, that's more on the lines of a internal trans problem.

What is the condition of the fluid? (color,texture,smell burnt?)

Was it slipping before the T/C change or was that the reason why it was changed?

Could be you need a new clutch plate?
