i got a 99 chevy s-10 blazer 4x4 with 140xxx miles, and i got a noise coming from the front drivers side. i can only hear it when i go above 40mph, but it sounds like a loud tire noise, i have normal tires, and are fairly new (8-10 months ago). i lifted the front of the truck up and checked for slop in the tires and there was none. i was thinking it was a bearing or a seal, what do u think?

Probably a bearing.
Jack the truck up off the ground. Typically you would be able to move the tire up and down and it would have very little slop if the bearing is going there would be an excessive amount.

If it goes while youre driving youre in for a treat. That wheel will pretty much lock right up.

If youre really ambitious pull the hub off and look directly at the bearings. Its not all that much work considering the consequences.

Make sure you check out the brakes also.
