1998 Regal LS - Odometer ProblemCraZyDuDe3388 10-17-2006, 03:16 PM Back in March I was in a car accident that did a WHOLE lot of damage. Luckily I knew someone who did bodywork, so I saved myself a WHOLE lot of money, and my car is sitting in my driveway and not in a junk yard. Well, when I got the car back, I took it for a test drive and I noticed the odometer read 999,999 then when I got home my odometer read like 366876 miles, which was otrageous since I had only like 92k when I crashed. Now, everything on the cluster works, the speedometer, the tripmeter, everything! The odometer however still reads the same number and it has't changed since. Anything I can do besides getting the cluster replaced? Thanks! BNaylor 10-17-2006, 03:34 PM Welcome to AF. Sorry but bad news. The IPC must be replaced. The odometer module is bad. A company called Southern Electronics may be able to repair it but you'll have to ship the IPC to them. CraZyDuDe3388 10-17-2006, 04:30 PM any idea how much that'll cost me? (the repair...) BNaylor 10-17-2006, 04:48 PM any idea how much that'll cost me? (the repair...) Probably well under $100 flat rate including parts. Just call Southern Electronics at 1-800-572-2880. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
