Wondering if anyone else has had problems with their rear defroster.
The unit that fastens to the grid in the window has come off. Have had it to the dealer twice for repair. They soldered it once and then sent it to a glass repair shop and they tried gluing it. Looking for suggestions for repair. The dealer has told me the only way they can fix it is to replace the window and of course this is not covered on my extended warranty. Replacement is $1000.00!!!!!

Dang, thats gotta blow. If it was me, i'd just take it off and begin using the side mirrors to look behind you when it gets fogged up..

If not then I dont see any other way than getting it through the stealership.

All you can really do is keep soldering it back on. They may have not done a very good job on it the first time.

i would try taking it to a glass co your self and see what they say . but if you have to replace it i would check junk yards
