WIP Ferrari FXX Transkit MFH 1/24Jamme 10-16-2006, 02:48 PM Hello everybody, It's along time that I've started a new WIP on this Forum........So here it is. I started with the engine.... Here are the parts, all in white metal. http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150135408325.jpg The pulleys and belts are molded all together........ The one on the right down side should be removed anyway, it's the one for the airco, and FXX hasn't airco.....so, Mr Hiro :grinno: http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150138993388.jpg The underside of the engine..... In the middle of the picture you see two small cylinders. The biggest one should be like a spring and the small one is the oil filter... http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D131020061501381868.jpg So, I removed the 2 talken about pieces and decided to make better looking new ones. I made the "spring" one with 0,5 wire, turned on a brass tube: http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150141249448.jpg The new "spring" glued in place and the new oil filter is made from aluminium rod and put in place. I saw that the new oil filter is toshort and to large. It will be remade latter and replaced.. http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150142539533.jpg I the cut the pulleys assembly into pieces as I had an idea to make the grooves into the pulleys as I made in the WIP for the Shelby GT500.... http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150144611348.jpg Being a problem to "hold" the white Metal pulleys while making the grooves, I decided to meke new pulleys, much easier.... This is the smallest pulleys or in fact "return pulleys. The new one is in the midlle under. It's made from aluminium, put into my Proxxon motortool, and "worked" with files, sand paper and bits. http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150146405835.jpg Bigger one, new is on the right, needs his nut to finish it... http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150149456732.jpg Biggest one.. http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150151253588.jpg Here the pulleys with a piece of Money... http://wisup.net/File_6/SKY_BE/2006/Images2/061013/Skynet-157D13102006150154454533.jpg That's all for tonight.
