I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 4.7L V8 with Full Time 4WD that i just purchased not 3 days ago. The problem i am having is that when i drive it around at almost any speed i have a metalic grinding sound coming from somewhere in my front end and i can't pinpoint it! At first i though it was the rotors or the brake pads maybe but i replaced those myself and got nothing but the same old grinding.:banghead: I'm thinking it might be the CV joint is blown but i really can't be sure and i just don't wanna go putting parts n tearing this thing apart when i'm working on the wrong problem. Also as another factor The grinding gets louder as the vehicle goes faster and doesn't stop when i hit the brakes. Please help! Thanx

Have you checked the brake backing plate? It might have gotten bent and rubbing on the rotots.
