Well as the title said I just purchased an 02 Cavy z24. I am only going to do a few mods(for now) and one of them is going to be cai. Just want everybodies advice on best one out there? Also any other beginning mods that won't cost a ton as I am going to have very limited money at first. Maybe a max of 3 mods for no more than $500 if that if at all possible. Thanks

Well, if you're looking for a real cold air intake and not a short ram intake, the best one i've seen so far is from RdFabs here http://www.rdfabs.com/24_caint.asp it's going for either $235 or $255, depending if you use a generic filter or K&N filter. If you don't care and just want an intake, go on ebay.com and find one either by Injen or AEM, just type in "Cavalier injen" or "Cavalier AEM" and you'll get a list of all the intakes from each brand for cavaliers, they should go for about $200.

Now, if your car is an automatic get the Shift Plus by B&M transmission mod here for a mere $50, I also plan on getting this ASAP. here http://gravanatuning.com/applications/2002_Chevrolet_Cavalier_Coupe_2.4.aspx/15/3031/_B_M_Shift_Plus_Electronic_Shift_Improver_Fits_Aut o_Trans_Only_

However, if your car is not auto, then go for the B&M short throw shifter, driving an auto I personally have no experience with these but everybody who has it, loves it. Here...http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=495&idproduct=151

And of course, polyurethane upper and lower engine mounts for only $65 for both here on Carcustoms.net http://www.carcustoms.net/product_info.php?products_id=100&osCsid=2225fa937a28d7c3bea682ecaf5b22a0 or if you have a 2.4l twin cam z24 and not the eco, you could dish out more cash and get this new SOLID top engine mount from Turbo tech racing, and they come powdercoated with the color of your choice and bushing color of your choice. http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=&idproduct=4917
