HEH so far via response fujimi makes the better kit... body seems more correct. After posting those kit pieces .. i think now i can make the purchase! bigfrit 10-14-2006, 01:28 PM Can we see a review for the roofpart? Mine revell's a bit warped... Olivier jelly_wilson 10-14-2006, 01:41 PM which roof part you mean?? see I can help or not... suicidehummer 10-14-2006, 01:44 PM Revell hands down. The lines are crisper. bigfrit 10-14-2006, 02:49 PM which roof part you mean?? see I can help or not... The roof part, in my revell's superamerica, it looks a bit twisted... This http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/bigfrit/Superamerica_05.jpg Also, could we have a picture of the two cars, facing each other... with the pic taken from the side, if you don't mind? Thanks a lot! Oli D_LaMz 10-14-2006, 03:09 PM What up with the fujimi rear bumper being wider than the body? DasWiesel 10-14-2006, 03:11 PM Revell hands down. The lines are crisper. :iagree: Better body + engine = Revell wins! Thanks for this very good comparison! mikemechanic 10-14-2006, 07:38 PM I purchased the Revell kit about 3 weeks ago. I am very happy with it in the box. It is a very nice kit overall. Somebody here was saying that the real cars glass roof was one piece but after viewing pictures of the real one I see it is not. Thanks for the review. Mike. auw12 10-14-2006, 08:34 PM i prefer revell too,FUJIMI gives incorrect wheels made me give it up.i've just ordered my revell kit.thank you very much for sharing this great review, and also for the pics of the real things!^_^ andrew landon 10-14-2006, 11:22 PM revell 'cuz it ain't curbside:grinyes: Al Terego 10-14-2006, 11:50 PM Thanks for the comparison review Jelly. Well done. From what I've seen in completed models of the 550's and 575's Fujimi has the correct stance and ride height but not so with Revell so give and take with each company I guess. Is the air duct over the left rear wheel on the real car actually functional or just there for looks? Al ales 10-15-2006, 01:00 AM Is the air duct over the left rear wheel on the real car actually functional or just there for looks? Of course it's functional. It has a gearbox oil cooler behind it. auw12 10-20-2006, 12:59 PM i've finished about 70% testfit of the revell kit, only the cockpit has not been started yet.revell really provides some amazing details but it still warped and shrinked here and there, fitness of the front suspension and wheel arch sucks...fortunately the chassis is flat.anyway,a lot of works to do before painting. deltableh 10-20-2006, 01:44 PM Thanks for this comparo. I also ordered the Revell kit because of it! michal_siewior 12-10-2006, 07:04 PM I just boght this kit on eBay but without decals and instruction, I will use factory hiro ferrari logos in stead but still don`t have instruction. does anyone got it, and could send me copy, pics ? michal_siewior@o2.pl michal_siewior THANKS! Jaimenew 12-14-2006, 09:51 AM Revell looks better than fujimi....well.....is my opinion. ales 12-14-2006, 02:48 PM I'm working on the Revell one right now and I wish I wasn't. Now this could be just my kit, but everything of any importance is warped (body, bonnet, roof, chassis) and you're really something special if you can make the bonnet opennable AND fitting properly. I wasn't able to, so I glued it on. The headligths are thougth out better than Fujimi in theory, but in practice they look very bad unless you redo them. The wheels look good when dechromed, but perhaps slightly oversized and the tyres are too narrow to my eye. The thing that frustrates me most, though, is the windshield pillar - it's twisted in my kit and the roof just wouldn't fit well enough. All in all, my personal opinion is that in this case Fujimi take it, at least judging by their berlinetta maranello kits. klutz_100 12-14-2006, 11:07 PM I just boght this kit on eBay but without decals and instruction, I will use factory hiro ferrari logos in stead but still don`t have instruction. does anyone got it, and could send me copy, pics ? michal_siewior@o2.pl michal_siewior THANKS! You don't need instructions Michal Did you get the 599 also? ;) andrew landon 04-08-2007, 06:41 PM i have the revell of america kit, and must say, it has more detail than the pictures of the revell of germany kit you have. Exotics_Builder 04-08-2007, 08:07 PM i have the revell of america kit, and must say, it has more detail than the pictures of the revell of germany kit you have.
