Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Nismo Z-tuneiceracer1 10-14-2006, 11:40 AM Hey, because the Audi 90 is almost finished I searched a new project. I picked up this one: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_001%7E2.jpg Kit is made by Aoshima btw. What's in the box? http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_002%7E2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_003%7E2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_004%7E1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_005%7E1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_006%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_007%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_008%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_009%7E0.jpg And a dryfit: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_010%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_011.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_012.jpg As you can see the rearbumper doesn't fit right to the body. Kris. Vyacheslav 10-14-2006, 03:53 PM I like this one, might pick one up myself. Good luck on the build, keep us updated nugundam93 10-14-2006, 06:40 PM wow...this one has springs? *looks at the tamiya version* hmmmm... xpeed 10-15-2006, 03:57 AM I have a similar model, but that came out a disaster. I'm planning to get another Aoshima one soon. iceracer1 10-20-2006, 03:10 PM All the bodyparts are glued together and the rearbump is modified to fit on the body. And I primered it. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_001%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_002%7E0.jpg Very strange but on the last picture you can see on the hood there's a spot. In real you can't see this spot :uhoh: Not important btw because it will have a couple of mica silver coats one of these days. Kris. KevHw 10-21-2006, 07:43 AM Despite the rear bumper mis-fit, this kit looks better than the Tamiya one which makes me a bit disappointed :frown: . This build looks good so far and can't wait to see the coats of paint on it. Gamerxz 10-21-2006, 09:14 AM Let me warn you before u build it up... The bottom chassic has problems... the wheels dont turn out right when its fixed... I can confirm this as my top secret skyline had this problem and i had to make adjustments to the chassic to fix it. And a friend of mine had the same exact problem when he fixed his C-west skyline , which uses the same chassic. Good luck. :icon16: iceracer1 10-23-2006, 11:59 AM Thanx I will keep that in my mind (as far as possible :grinyes: ) Today I painted the body and the rearwing with 4 lays of TS-76 Mica Silver The paintjob is very smooth! I''ll clearcoat the body when the decals are placed. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_001%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_002%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_003%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_004%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_005%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/gespoten_006.jpg Kris. anopanjo 10-24-2006, 02:44 AM for some reason i noticed that i like this kit more than the Tamiya one. Dont raly no y but the way its made looks meaner because it looks abit more square, as in the rims look nicer than the Tamiya one and the bodykit looks like it sits better. Just my opinion and also how u get the Nismo hood decal etc... bri g 10-24-2006, 04:00 AM that is an awesome paint job! can't wait to see it clearcoated. iceracer1 10-27-2006, 02:56 PM Yesterday and today I added all the decals. I never made an Aoshima kit and never worked with these decals but they're really nice. With some patient and a lot of Microscal Sol I finished it a couple of hours ago. For the rear spoiler and frontbumperlip I used Scale Auto Style carbonfiber decals. Looks much better than only painting it black :) Hope you like it! http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_003.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_004.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_005.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_006.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_007.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_008.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_009.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_010.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/decals_011.jpg Now it's ready to receive some lays of TS-13 Clear. Kris. gundam1969 10-27-2006, 02:59 PM Look forward to seeing this one completed. NissanSkylineGTR98 10-28-2006, 10:46 AM Excellent shine to the paint, the decals look great aswell! Guiddy 10-28-2006, 12:56 PM I agree with the comments above this kit looks so much better than the Tamiya version! I love the standard Tamiya Skyline but as a Z tune version it didn't look as mean as it should! This one does! Superb, keep it up. Make sure it sits right when you've finished it! iceracer1 10-31-2006, 01:39 PM Today it was time to clear coat the body. So I sprayed 4 lays of TS-13 on it. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/blanke_lak_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/blanke_lak_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/blanke_lak_003.jpg I think it's smooth enough. Only wax the body after it is dry enough. Kris. iceracer1 11-04-2006, 04:13 PM Nobody wants to reply??? Allright.... Today I polished the whole body and waxed it with some carwax. I also installed the headlight units and the mirrors in the sidemirrors. I made the backlights and I really love them. No painting just glue it together because Aoshima gaved me red and orange clearparts :) Look! http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_003.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_004.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_005.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_006.jpg Kris. KevHw 11-04-2006, 04:18 PM Looks hot! Can't wait to see this completed. Vyacheslav 11-04-2006, 04:18 PM wow looking amazing, very good job iceracer1 11-06-2006, 10:22 AM thanks Guys! rsxse240 11-06-2006, 11:41 AM looks really good! is the front end going to draw up to the hood? iceracer1 11-06-2006, 02:43 PM looks really good! is the front end going to draw up to the hood? Yes.... this was just a dryfit so the frontbumper was added to the body with some tape. Kris. 91p10nizmo 11-09-2006, 02:58 AM Looks good, nice shine you have. iceracer1 01-06-2007, 01:18 PM I did some work last days on the Z-tune.... I always hate it to paint the windowtrims but is must be done so I spent some time on it. I'm glad about the results! Just a few small places that need some black paint again. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/rubber_001.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/rubber_002.jpg I also painted the headlights. They had to be a bit darker inside so I painted some places black. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/rubber_003.jpg and a teaser :) http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/rubber_004.jpg Now I'll paint the windowtrims on the windowparts. I saw a few months ago some templates for masking the windowtrims. Does anyone know where I can find these templates? Kris. Mogster 01-06-2007, 06:51 PM Now I'll paint the windowtrims on the windowparts. I saw a few months ago some templates for masking the windowtrims. Does anyone know where I can find these templates? I have this kit too - so I'll be following this build. Looks great so far. :) For the window masks, try this.... http://www.spc.org.uk/downloads/aoshima_skyline_r34_window_masks.pdf theOmni 01-06-2007, 09:08 PM Where's the engine? :( xpeed 01-07-2007, 01:58 AM The Aoshima version doesn't offer an engine. You have to glue the hood shut, unless you custom make one. theOmni 01-07-2007, 02:33 AM adding an engine to that beauty would have def. made its beauty go to 150% from 100%. lancer07 01-07-2007, 02:52 AM looks awsome. really nice shine you got:sunglasse can't wait to see this thing finished:grinyes: iceracer1 01-07-2007, 06:29 AM I have this kit too - so I'll be following this build. Looks great so far. :) For the window masks, try this.... http://www.spc.org.uk/downloads/aoshima_skyline_r34_window_masks.pdf Thanks mate! This is what I searched for :) No there's no engine in this kit. I also have no engine or something to put into the skyline. In The Netherlands you can't buy Aoshima also... :) Kris. iceracer1 02-05-2007, 11:17 AM It took a while but I spended some time last days to work on the Z-tune. I finished the chassis. Just painted some parts and installed them nothing special, just basic and clean :) http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/onderkant_001%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/onderkant_002%7E0.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/onderkant_003%7E0.jpg Kris. Risko 02-05-2007, 01:35 PM Looking good! I really like the Aoshima Nismo rims :) tonioseven 02-06-2007, 01:52 PM Very nice build so far!!:sunglasse iceracer1 02-11-2007, 03:37 PM Yesterday I finished the frontbumper. I added the headlight glasses, numberplate, mesh, GT-R logo and the signal lights. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/bumper_af_002.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/bumper_af_003.jpg I also finished the rear bumper. The red/white lights and the numberplate were placed. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/bumper_af_001.jpg and a dryfit http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/bumper_af_004.jpg Kris. Vyacheslav 02-11-2007, 04:10 PM Looks very nice and clean. :) NOMADGAMER 02-11-2007, 10:06 PM Wow! Hypheemovement 02-17-2007, 06:12 PM Uninen 02-18-2007, 05:31 AM Woa that looks nice, great progress! Keep it up! iceracer1 02-24-2007, 02:05 PM Yet I finished the interior. Everything was painted black and the middle of the seats doorpanels are painted flat red. The black paint came with the maskingtape so I brushed it a bit with some black as you can see on the pics. Lucky for me you won't see anything when the body is placed over the interior. The floor was flocked with black interiorflocks. I also made a brake light on the rear of the body... http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_003~2.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_004~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_005~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_006~1.jpg http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_007.jpg I only have te paint the windows and add the screenwipers and some little decals. The frontbumper is a problem to put on the body but I try to do my best. Kris. stairweitoheaven 02-24-2007, 07:42 PM i had the top secret skyline... the front bumper is a pain in the neck to put on, try find some kind of clamps to hold these bad boy in place while the glue is drying. iceracer1 03-04-2007, 11:38 AM It's finished :) Pics are able to see in completed section.... Thanks for comments guys! Kris. drawzer 03-04-2007, 12:11 PM I think the paintjob color was more beautifull without the coating... But is becoming very nice! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
