Want to see me abuse a modded Z06??

Lightly modded. Exhaust, intake. Makes good power. Close to 380 at the wheels from what I understand.

I didn't do so well on this pass. 1.744 short time and I bogged.
DA was a little high as well...slowing it down a bit.

Out of the hole at 4100 RPM's apparently isn't quite enough.

Haha nice.

You need to get a vid of you and a new Zo6. That would make for an interesting race (from a role assuming they have stock tires).

^^yes it would. u really need to stop being a baby and launch it at 4500!!!
lol. diddnt you say somethin about now having a bird's egg drive shaft, even though your only 20 miles from the track?

Man, when you said you bogged, I didn't think it was gonna be that much, turn up the revs:evillol:

I have the stock driveshaft.
I have heard horror stories about breaking them and stories about them making it through all kinds of hell.

I do drive to and from the track. I take the car, full weight, and hop in. The only difference is the drag wheels.
When I say full weight...I mean it. Back seat, spare, jack, etc. are all in the car.

I must have missed this post.

I have been wanting to run one of those cars since they hit showroom floors.
Probably won't happen unless there is one at next years Track Day. :grinyes:

Man are you sure its bogging because of too little RPMs??

Its hard to tell in the video, but is it "stumbling or fluttering" any? Becuase that almost sounds more to me like its not gettin enough fuel. My car had that problem. Not enough fuel pressure adn it would "bog" after the initial hit. Turned the fuel pressure up and problem solved.

Been keeping an eye on it, and it has plenty of fuel. No stubbling.
I think it just comes out of the powerband a little coming out of the hole from 4100.

I see. You'll just have to up the rpms then, lol

I guess you're done for this year though right?

Mr. Luos

Yup.
Changing the exhaust a little for next season. Should have softer rear springs and new struts/shocks all the way around for next season as well.
6 months of waiting though. Unless I make an attempt at the track down in Peublo.

Ewww. Do it! Do it! lol

Ahh, that's about what I set out I guess. 5 to 6 months.

2 hour trip...if not more.
Maybe.

Ahh, that aint too bad of a trip. I've been making about a 2 hour and 15-30 minute trip for the past 4 or 5 races I've went too. Its 107 miles one way and I'm in 3 different states, lol.

I realize though where you have to drive your car there that makes a difference. You are in bad need of a truck and trailer. You got any friends that have one?

Mr. Luos

Truck I can get.
Although having an F150 pull the car would be one hell of a pic.

Trailer might be rough. That is really all I need.
But like I said...one of my biggest things is to be able to drive the car to and from the track.

F-150 pulling the car :screwy:?? That alone would slow it down 2 or 3 tenths! And you still might have to drive it part of the way!! LOLOL. Just j/k Ford guys.

Ahh, you know how I feel about the whole trailering it vs. driving it deal. It wouldn't take away from the car IMO just becuase you pull it there instead of driving it. That just means you dont want to get stranded/pay a big wrecker bill if something happens.

Speaking of trailers, I went again today and looked at some. Pretty well settled on getting an open trailer, 20'x8.5', metal floors (realized today that its not alluminum, its diamond plated steel), brakes, ramps, new wheels and tires, and 7000 lbs axels. Price wrote on the tounge was $2,495, but this place will come down and when I do get ready to buy, I'm going to try and get like an electric wench or an alluminum box or a weight distribution hitch, lol. That's next year though, just wanted to look today and plus the place was closed.

They had some nice enclosed trailers though :grinyes:! Sure would like to have one but those things are just too much for a 1/2-ton truck. Anyways, the one I was interested in was a 24x8.5, black, new tires and wheels, square design with a flat top and it was $5,695. Oh well. One of these days.

I would really want enclosed.
But I have many other things to spend that $$ on.
Like this freaking house.

Which includes but not limited to: getting to the track, things that happen at the track between rounds, things that happen during the week to the cars, things that need to happen during the week to the cars, etc.

You two just need to go meet up at a KOA (http://koa.com/) and go Brokeback Racetrack and get it over with already.
