I have a 03 cavalier LS Sport 2 door 5 speed 1st problem is both of my headlights are really loose towards the bottom of the headlight I tightend the bolt on the top but still is loose. 2nd problem lots of play in the passenger door and its all of a sudden extreamly hard to open. 3rd problem most of the time when I am shifting in to a higher gear and let the clutch out as I normally do it feels as though my car hesitates for a second before it continues to accelerate. I was wonder if anyone else is having these issues and what you are doing about them. please help. need ideas!!

See the problem with the 03's is well.....they are the 03's. From the get go the 03 cavis sucked. I got my wife one and had it for a whopping week before I told the dealership to stuff it up their corn hole.

It was an auto and yet it didnt want to shift when it should and shifted when it shouldnt. The passenger side window wouldnt roll down (thats right..roll down not power down) The CD player took a crap on day two and killed my old 311 cd. Her seats had metal sticking through so you had to sit off to the side so you wouldnt stab yourself. The suspension took a dump and rode like we cut the springs. Just about every bolt on the car was loose or getting there.

The 03's are just a nightmare not only from what I have seen but from alot of the people in my set that own them as well. Its one big "find and fix" kinda car.

My advise is if it is under warranty to take down a list of EVERYTHING wrong with it even down to the smallest deatail and take it in and have them fix it. Other then that check all the attachment points on the headlights and make sure none of the brackets are cracked or loose to the body. (one of the other problems my wifes had) Check all the bolts/attachment points in the hinge assembly of the door and also check and see if it somehow got bumped out of body allignment. As for the shifting you could just have a small clutch issuse that needs to be looked at.

:nono: Not cool, good cd.

Wow, sounds pretty bad, I know now to never invest in an 03

Sad part is even most dealerships know how bad they suck. Brown and Brown chevy down here didnt even want the thing back so I made a few calls to some friends that work at the bank branch my financing was threw and had them yank the financing so they ended up taking it back because I made the deal take a crap better then the car did.

To pay them back for all the hassle though I stuck in one of those kick ass ebay "speed chips" I doubt they ever did or ever will find it out. Chances are some poor sucker is driving around right now getting about 200 miles on a full tank of gas. "lol"

I have had an 03 since july last year and have not had a single problem with it, and i used to drive 45 minutes one way for work from july-january, in upstate ny weather. Its a 2 door 5 speed manual. I also just drove from ny-washington dc to move and had no problems and get great gas milage. I guess i got the lucky one
