I've read alot about water leaks in the 98s and I guess Jeep hasn't gotten it right yet. After rains, my 2004 passenger side floor is soaked. I've read about a\c drain hoses, windshield leaks, luggage rack leaks....Does anyone have any first hand solutions to this isuue. Still under warranty but would like to know what to expect or not expect from the dealer. Thanks in advance.

I had a 94 and mine never leaked, I know about the A/C Drain leaking in the passengerside floor and have fixed many of them, but I have never heard nor seen a problem with the windshields or roof rack. mine had 217K miles and neither of these ever leaked. I know the sun roof have had leak problems. but never heard of a problem with the roof racks.

You forgot one---got a moon roof on that '04?

Off to the dealer! Since it's still under warranty they should take care of it without any issues. Show them the wet, they'll probably ask if you left the windows down.

IIRC they'll spray it down with a high pressure hose to see where the water is coming in; you can do this yourself to be able to point them in the right direction.

No. No moon roof. Does anyone know where the ac drain hose comes down through on the 2004s?

It exits at the passenger side of the firewall. They've been know to plug up and overflow, but not likely on a '04 unless its been through mud or such.

I haven't had it through mud. But we bought it used and it has a wet floor since 1st rain. Don't know if someone else had it in the mud? I see a tube out of the firewall just off centerline on the passenger side. I noticed it dripping from time to time but it's been dry the last few days and no air cond running. Maybe it is partially clogged. Thanks for the replies. I'll try to run a wire through it before heading to the dealer.
