Car started smoking so I pulled over to let 'er breath. Now it won't start. When I try to turn it over, a whining noise comes out and nothing. Battery is new. Any ideas? thanks

Where was the smoke coming from? Have you checked all of your relay's and belts?

Turned out to be the timing belt broke. It breaking, bent the valves. Anyone know roughly how much that will cost to fix? One mechanic said 2400, just curious if thats about right. Basically no matter what, the car isn't worth that much. Anyone want to buy a 1985 CRZ si. Only 105,000 miles on the car and everything is still orginal. Original Engine, trany etc.

dude, find an 86 integra in good running condition, and take the DOHC engine out of it... it's a direct bolt in for your car, on the stock trans, only thing you need to change is the CPS part of your wiring harness, b/c the D16A1 has it on the exhaust cam, instead of integrated into the dizzy.

Just make sure when you buy it that it runs right, it will bolt right to your trans/mounts, no mods necessary, and alot of the 'teg parts will also fit your car, like the seats, etc.

anyway, whatever you choose to do, GL, and happy honda'ing.
