My son is 16 yrs old, he bought this car after his dad (my ex) said there was nothing wrong with it, except a hole in the radiator, I agreed to let him bring to my house so he could work on it. We replaced the radiator, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter and air filter. The damn thing still would not run, we checked the egr valve and it was not working right so we take it off and use a tester on it and it is working but the little pistons are not closing (there had been black smoke coming out of it for a long time) cleaned it up and it worked fine. The car will run ok with a little miss until it warms up and then it wants to die, but it in gear and it dies. I took the catalytic converter thinking it was stopped up (which it was) but it has not fixed the problem. I am going to try checking the coil packs, but wanted to see if anyone has and suggestions on something else to look at? He only has a month till he gets his license and is getting really frustrated as am I!!!:banghead:
