I pulled up to a light in my accord the other night just after picking up a couple of pizzas. this dude rolls up beside me and starts nudging and nudging, I was like great I gonna get beat again.. so I nudge back... The light turns green we both kinda hit the we both nailed it.... I put at least 6 cars on that dude before 60 mph!!! :cool:





I am not going to tell you the part about him being a 4 door 4Runner with 6 passengers....:silly2:

The funny part is he rolled his window dow and said "Man! what you got in that thing?? " I couldn't answer for laughing at him!!! :silly2:

:D Ya i raced an old jeep tonight and a nice looking dodge ram, had some rather large rims on it. The truth is, it was a closer race with the old jeep than with the ram.

Those V8 Jeeps are pretty fast for what they are. Gotta watch out!

I was crusing the loop the other day and I see this early 70's truck sitting on the side with the hood open. It was a huge rustball, paint chipping. we can see the engine and its DEFINATELY not modded. (Who would make mods for a 1970s Chevy _____?) my friend wanted me to stop and see if he needed any help so being the good little citizen that I am, I asked and he said no. later that night I got on the line next to him and out of the some 50K rice burners and souped up dune buggys, trucks and detroit muscle, this was the ABSOLUTE last car I would have thought to race.
The light turns green and I kinda mosey along not thinking for a second this guy was racing till he revs his engine (which I swear to gawd smoked when he did) and he takes off. I follow. We got up to 110! I didnt think that POS could pass 35. Sure by the time it was over he got stomped miserably, but STILL!! It was the best race I'd had for a month and it was against THAT. I guess it was just a bad month for racing or something. :licker:

who would make mods for it? Any company that makes parts for a basic Chevy 350 or 454. Whichever the truck had.

An engine is a engine, it doesnt car what it's in.

If it was a pre-73 Chevy truck, it's possible the guy could make it have a 1000hp Big Block. I doubt that by the story. But its possible... :)

you sure its a 5.3? Cause thats a 327ci motor which is a Chevy motor.

Mopar has a 318... which is 5.2 liters.

Ford has the 5.4... which is 329ci if im not mistaken...

not that it matters... just wondering... :)

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, another other forum site would have responded with stupid insults and lame remarks. Your right I actually underestimated that motor, Cherokees have a 5.9L 245hp V8... Im assumin its the same one in the Dakota R/T Truck.

Yeah, its the same engine as the R/T. But the 5.9 litre pushes 250 Hp and 345 Ft lbs. of torque. I got a 1999 Dakota R/T. I tell you it flyies. It will do just about anything, as long as its not off-road, terrible for that.

Oh that can be fixed... I say 6 inch lift... 33" Mud-Terrain tires and you gotcha self a mean pre-runner... then again... I doubt anyone would give up a quick street truck just to play in the dirt. Dat's what 4x4s are for. :D
