Pulling codes on a 97 panorthstar1958 10-08-2006, 02:37 PM Gentlemen: On my old buick i could use a paper clip to access the computer. Can i still do that on a 1997 park avenue? Is the connector still located under the dash near the brake pedal? Thanks for any information you can share. Northstar BNaylor 10-08-2006, 02:48 PM No. Since your 97 is odb-ii compliant you will need an odb-ii scanner. The ALDL connector (16 pin data port) should be located under the steering column of the dash. Places like Autozone will scan for free if there is a SES/CEL light or you can purchase your own scanner. northstar1958 10-08-2006, 05:35 PM Thanks... appreciate the info vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
