Possible FM reception solution1964AVANTI 10-06-2006, 05:51 PM After 2 years of no FM :banghead: , I removed the unit and did some diagnostics starting with the antenna. Good thing I started there as that was the problem. There was a short to ground at the antenna stub. Given the task of removing the old antenna unit I elected to use an old trick of using a banna plug from radio shack($1.00) and soldering a 3 foot piece of wire to the plug end. Pushed the wire around the top of the radio and buttoned things up. I get FM stations 50 - 60 miles away with no problem.:) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
