as i posted before my car is hitting fuel cut everytime i race someone. at the shop they told it started leaning out at arround 5.2k. so tonight i was coming from work and a guy in a acura vigor wanted to race me, so i put it in 3rd hoping i didnt hit fuel cut, and i hit fuel cut at arround 5.5k then when i was slowing down i heard some noise in my engine bay, when i got home i popped the hood and i revved it up a little bit, and sounds like if a rocker arm came lose or something. i'll check tomorrow.
so the big question is, how bad is fuel cut? i'm just a little worried because was thinking tonight about what stuff i'm gonna get for the car.

Though you do want to avoid getting to the point where your fuel cuts as much as possible...your engine is starved for fuel for those few moments before you get back into the zone, thereby running lean and increasing engine temperature. Like scott said, fuel cuts are designed to make sure you don't screw up your motor.

i think it my engine died. i was getting off the highway and i was waiting for green light, but it just died. it wouldnt start, it doesnt turn over or anything and i then i tried turning the engine by hand(big racket from under car) and nothing.
before that happened i was cruising at arround 2.5k rpm and started hearing a noise like lifter tick but louder right now me and my dad are gonna take it apart and see what happens. this will be my only chance to join the 6 bolt club since my dad wont let me buy it if the engine is still good.

I think you might have thrown a rod. If it sounds like lifter thick or louder sounds like you threw a rod.

If you cannot turn it over by hand or crank it over you either threw a rod or you siezed the engine up due to the rod gone, thus heating the shit out of the bearing surface and siezed!!or something bent is stopping it.
