i got a 1970 beetle i just inherrited n i dont know much about. whats a type 1, 2, or 3? this car has been sittin for at least 8 years, what else do i need to expect other than a frozen engine, dryrot tires and bad seals? and how much might it cost to get it running again?

Type 1 is a BUG, Type 2 is a transporter (BUS - VAN), and Type 3 is a squareboack.. here is a good explanations

you might need brakes all around, also brake hoses and lines. sometimes the steel line inside the car from the front to rear likes to rust out
