Mods, if this is in the wrong section please move, thanks.

So, yeah, my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo came with the cassette player. I want to keep a stock look to my vehicle so I'm looking to swap it out for an OEM CD/Cassette player. I believe one from a 96-98 will plug right in.

It looks exactly like this... http://i16.ebayimg.com/05/i/08/7c/42/64_1.JPG

Well, if anyone has their original unit laying around I'll make an offer.

Thanks.

I've got one that came out of a 96 Grand Cherokee Limited Infinity gold. I decided to go with a CD changer so I got a factory CD controller stereo from E-Bay and an Alpine changer and adapter from Circuit City. The unit I have has the steering wheel control jack. I can post pictures if you'd like. SJ

Yes post pics if you can. That would be sweet. I've read that the steering wheel adapter is just an extra plug and isn't necessary. I have a Laredo with the 4.0L. It has 6 speakers I think... 2 in the dash, 2 in each door. Anyway, my wife's nephew is lead tech at a dodge place and he told me the cd/tape player is a plug and play unit...
