WTB: Factory CD/Cassette Player 98'turtlecrxsi 10-02-2006, 02:02 PM Mods, if this is in the wrong section please move, thanks. So, yeah, my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo came with the cassette player. I want to keep a stock look to my vehicle so I'm looking to swap it out for an OEM CD/Cassette player. I believe one from a 96-98 will plug right in. It looks exactly like this... http://i16.ebayimg.com/05/i/08/7c/42/64_1.JPG Well, if anyone has their original unit laying around I'll make an offer. Thanks. legalfee 10-02-2006, 02:24 PM I've got one that came out of a 96 Grand Cherokee Limited Infinity gold. I decided to go with a CD changer so I got a factory CD controller stereo from E-Bay and an Alpine changer and adapter from Circuit City. The unit I have has the steering wheel control jack. I can post pictures if you'd like. SJ turtlecrxsi 10-02-2006, 02:53 PM Yes post pics if you can. That would be sweet. I've read that the steering wheel adapter is just an extra plug and isn't necessary. I have a Laredo with the 4.0L. It has 6 speakers I think... 2 in the dash, 2 in each door. Anyway, my wife's nephew is lead tech at a dodge place and he told me the cd/tape player is a plug and play unit... legalfee 10-03-2006, 02:08 PM legalfee 10-03-2006, 02:10 PM Here's the back view:http://forum.scbar.org/steve/back.jpg legalfee 10-03-2006, 02:11 PM legalfee 10-03-2006, 03:30 PM turtlecrxsi 10-03-2006, 05:05 PM Yes I live in Clemson, SC.
