For 1996 Grand Cherokee Laredo (without automatic temp controls).

Symptoms include no heat or no cooling. The blend air door is stuck on cool or hot.

The actuator is located on the passenger side - tucked up between the wheel well and the hvac housing. It is mounted with two screws that are not that easy to remove - you will most likely need a right angle philips head screw driver. Just pull back the carpet a little, unlpug the electrical conection and unscrew.
