'65 conv top hydraulics

I can't get my conv top up. I can hear the pump run, but nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the hydraulics is under the cover behind the back seat, but I've got to get the top up first before I can troubleshoot. How?

Try getting to the cylinders thru the trunk, you may be able to disconnect the lift pistons and put the top up by hand.
