Transmission on a 93 non turbo 2.0 eclipse, very confusing

I noticed this probably steadily getting worse and worse... First gear was always a bitch to get into, i don't think it is worn shift linkage but i ajusted it and then reverse was difficult to get into to, and that was months ago and now the car refuses to go into first unless slammed into gear and it will sometimes lock in second at low mph and make the whole car come to a complete stop. its crazy. brand new clutch, slave cylinder, i just need to get some background info i don't want to really invest in a new tranny, but if its the linkage then i will invest in that

Syncros are going bad... Put some Pennzoil syncromesh in there instead and it'll shift way better again.
