The neon is very sensitive to corrosion. nmpitbull 09-30-2006, 06:14 PM all the connections are good and tight and where they are supposed to be das2123 09-30-2006, 08:12 PM Did you have the battery and alternator checked? Have you checked for fuel pressure at the rail? nmpitbull 10-01-2006, 04:29 PM yea and it has fuel pressure das2123 10-01-2006, 05:42 PM yea and it has fuel pressureHow much? I think it should be around 44psi. skatendestroy 10-01-2006, 06:31 PM i think its 48 das2123 10-01-2006, 08:19 PM Just checked my FSM and it says 49psi for my 97. nmpitbull 10-02-2006, 11:33 AM i got 47 psi das2123 10-02-2006, 11:49 AM OK, it cranks but doesn't start, right? Do you hear the fuel pump prime? Is the starter engaging but just not turning over? Make sure your battery is fully charged. If you keep trying to crank it and it doesn't, it will drain the battery. Will it start with a jump? 96jimmy4wd 02-10-2007, 08:28 PM if you are not getting spark, check the coil pack first on the harness going into it you should have 12v at the center wire this is a common hot that feeds the coil and the fuel injectors the other two wires should be a ground signal from the computer if it does not pulse a ground while cranking the next step is to check the crank sensor (rear of engine jst above oil filter) look for 8v-9v @ the orange wire and as the engine rotates, the grey wire should send back a ref voltage of about .5v to about 5v next is the pcm hope you dont get this far $$$ vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
