My air pump went about 3 weeks ago. I installed a brand new one with the new hoses and wires and the service engine soon light came on. I replaced it yesterday and the SES light came on again. (the code for the air pump showed up everytime on the computer. Does anyone have and idea if the pumps are defective or something else. Thanks

water got in the old one?
the updated hose is a good move.
did you check the two fuses and relay? they hide them in the right fender the battery is in the way if you have don't have small hands.
