turboing questionintegrags-r22 09-27-2006, 09:28 PM Hey i have a 1997 that runs great and the engine looks great. i recently have just put a new clutch in and everything down in there is fine. the car has 120,000 miles on it and i was wondering if i would be ok to turbo it? i would only be running about 7 psi on it max. and soon after the turbo i would start to build up the engine CivicSpoon 09-27-2006, 10:33 PM do a compression and leakdown test to make sure everything is running strongly. integrags-r22 09-28-2006, 12:09 AM sorry i forgot to mention that, i got the leakdown and compresion test and everything checked out alright. i cant remember the numbers right now but they were all acceptable. Schister66 09-28-2006, 10:03 AM don't talk in PSI, talk in power numbers.....PSI on one turbo isn't the same for another turbo. For instance, on 9psi i make 275/194 on a T3T4E 60trim but w/ a K03 on 9psi i'd make about 200whp or less....see what i mean?? integrags-r22 09-28-2006, 10:31 AM gotcha, i already have the whole kit planned out and i wanted to start getting parts together. I am going to get a garrett t3/t4 turbo its specs are: 57 Compressor wheel trim, .63 A/R turbine, .50 A/R Compressor. Schister66 09-28-2006, 06:57 PM that's a good turbo...now you just need to figure out the rest of the setup let me know if you need any parts because i can get parts for B series for a good price... hondacivic99sivtec 10-05-2006, 08:20 PM hey he's a good guy and won't steer you wrong.
