My 1995 Bonny's starter is acting up. It failed to start couple times and starter makes click sound. I got under Bonneville and after removing covers underneath, I found out that I cannot access starter mounting bolts. There is a plastic piece covering them and I am afraid to break it if I pushed too much to the side. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to remove plastic cover to replace the starter on my 1995 Bonneville?

On one of my friends suggestion, I placed a 2x6 wooden board on top of hydraulic Jack. Moved this under oil pan and raised the engine without loosening any mounts. I was able to raise the engine just enough to remove the plastic cover out and remove the starter. Car starts fine now.
