Proton Amp?

Hey guys it's me again. Remember me? hee hee :D

Anywho, a friend of mine had an old Proton Amp he wasn't using and gave it to me free of charge (yay!) so I was wondering if it was even worth the effort to install? It is a 1989 model (yes that's the year) and it looks to be a 4 channel, 50 watt amp. 50 watts is enough for me because my speakers are only 100 watts and my HU is about 23 watts. So other than the fact its weak as far as amps go, do you reccommend I put it in, and if so can I get a little help in how to do it?

thanks :)

Proton used to make some awesome amps, I used to have the 50watt/ch (p250) and 22watt/ch P222 models. They have a nice feature called "soft clipping." If it still works, it is definitely worth hooking up.

cool!

Could someone point me to a tutorial or directions page or something on how to hook it up?

it should be the same as every other amp in that regard. There should be 2 sets of terminals (a row of screw down clamps). One of them will have 4 screws, it will be marked speaker or spkr - it will have 4 screws. Yhe other one will have 3 screws, it is for power, gnd and remote.
