Dropped Airbag Sensors - Are They Still Good???syoung_2000 09-24-2006, 09:26 PM I am parting out a 98 s-10. Someone wanted the core support and someone else wanted to buy the sensors that were mounted on it. I used a dremel tool to remove the rivets and then dropped the sensors on a concrete floor. If this guy buys these sensors will they deploy the airbags if they're installed correctly? They were disconnected from power for a couple weeks before this happened. Please respond if you're positive about this situation. Thank you very much GMMerlin 10-11-2006, 12:13 PM If the sensor has been dropped...DO NOT use it. Also never probe SIR circuits with a logic probe or self powered test lamp If you don't know what you are doing ....don't F*** with it... This is a safety item that can kill you if you incorrectly test the system. maxwedge 10-11-2006, 04:27 PM If the sensor has been dropped...DO NOT use it. Seconded 3 times, not a dyer repair!!! rhandwor 10-11-2006, 07:17 PM Probing a 120v hair dryer with a 6,12,or 24v logic probe could get you killed. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
