so I just got a 200sx from 98 with 110k miles, I just wanna do a few bolt ons to give it a bit more zip so its more fun to drive, not trying to make a racer or anything, no turbo (would cost more than i paid for the car) just like a performance air intake, and some exause stuff new headers ect and catback/muffler when/if i get the money, but i've been told by non-car-enthusiasts (parents/ parents friends) that it is a bad idea on and 8 year old car cause it will add undo stress and break the cars rythem that its used to, i'm not inclined to believe that, seems to me boosting performance shouldn't be bad for the car, so i thought i'd ask what u all think

It shouldn't break anything provided you install everything correctly, don't go over the top with hard driving and are good about maintance.
