2000 Sunfire Idle Problem

My 2000 Sunfire (2.2 OHV) has problems once it gets warm (Drive over about 10-20 miles).

It will want to stall when braking at lights. It's especially bad when you brake dramatically due to other drivers. It also will stall if you are braking and turning. The RPMs drop precipitously and then come back (lights dim). Usually I would think it would be a PCV or Breather filter issue, but none of those are on the 2000 Sunfire. I have traced my Vacuum lines and haven't found any leaks.

I was thinking IAC valve, but the engine idles great.

Thanks in advance

Try the fuel filter, plugs, and plug wires right off the bat. I did all that and my PCV and it runs quite a bit smoother now..

All of that is already done :)

I want to make sure every one knows that I still have this problem after I changed Plugs, Wires, and Fuel Filter.

I don't want to shotgun this but I'm thinking IAC valve or Master Cylender. Does anyone have insight into this problem?

Master Cylinder wouldn't have anything to do with it, that controls the brakes. I'd try putting an IAC motor in it and see what happens.

Well pull the IAC valve, shoot the shit out of it with Carb/ throttle body cleaner and put it back in. I pulled mine a couple months back when I was havin issues. My car seems to idle a lot better... then again It was runnin pig rich from a vaccum leak.

Just so a future information seeker can find out. In this case it was my ignition coils. Changed them and eevrything runs great
