It has been awhile since anyone wrote. What, your passats are working good, or perhaps Fall air, full of oxygen, is powering your cars, so you are enjoying your rides?

Well, our 99 Passat,I thought the fuel pump was bad, so we replaced it (the stumbling, etc. while driving). After taking it to the dealership, we were shocked to find out they wanted $852 for spark plugs and valve cover gaskets! They charged us $100 to tell us what we already knew - replace spark plugs etc.! What a rip off!

Where can we get valve cover gaskets - the local auto parts store?
