Need help with block2002mustanggt 09-20-2006, 07:51 PM I am putting a forged crank in my 4.6 and ran into clearance issues with the counterweights and the 3rd main webbing. I ground the block until i had .060" clearance between the counterweights and the block and noticed i have a pinhole. It is in a similar place to where the windows in the aluminum 4.6 blocks are. After i remove the weakened metal around the pinhole i have about a 1/2" hole. My machinist said since it doesn't run into any oil galleries that I will be fine, but I am worried about the blocks structural integrity now. Was planning on going the supercharged route. Any advice or input will be appreciated. Thanks. gforcestangs 10-12-2007, 12:13 AM I would'nt risk it do aed miles down the roadll that work and your block crack a few hundred miles down the road. I have a teksid aluminum cobra block bored .030 over I was planning on building I will probally sell it. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
