Mk3 Golf oil leak problem!

Hey Guys,

Long story short.

I'm thinking of buying this mk 3 golf, 1.4, M reg, 52000miles, £600 car.

BUT

It's got an oil leak.

The seller has said he'll get someone to have a look at it tomorrow morning, but i was hoping someone here could tell me what the problem is, how big a job it is, and if it's a major issue or not???
I snapped a few pics so you could see what i'm referring to.
At first he said it was the starter plugs, which he changed, but that made no different what-so-ever

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seems to be coming from the tappet cover which is very comin and cheap to repair on Golfs

Looks like its coming from the corner of the head gasket. But might also come from a valve cover gasket that leaks in the timing belt cover area and out, but more likely the head gasket
